This is the privacy notice of Surf Kayak Coaching (trading as Lizard Adventure Ltd). In it “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Lizard Adventure Ltd.

This privacy policy sets out how we collect, use and protect any information that you us when you use this website and when you make a booking with us.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 15/5/18.

Information we collect from you when you make an enquiry:

When you complete our enquiry form on our website (www.surfkayacoaching.com/contact/) we will collect your name, email address and phone number. This information will be used to respond to your enquiry and not passed onto a third party or used in any other way.

Information we collect from you when you make a booking:

Whether you make a booking online or over the phone, we will collect and process some or all the following data about you:

Full names of all participants, email addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, and ages of children (under 16 years old).

We will also keep records of payments made by you to us, although specific details of the payment cards used will not be stored.

Contact permission

Whilst booking you will be asked the following: We would like to send you information outside of our standard booking emails to keep you up to date on our news and special offers in the future. We’ll send emails 3 or 4 times a year with our news and any offers or kit sales (e.g. kayaks and paddle boards).

  • Yes, I would like to receive your emails.
  • No, I would not like to receive your emails.

You will be asked to select YES or NO. If you choose NO, you will only receive emails that relate to your booking.

Information we collect from you when you take part in an activity:

You will complete a Registration Form for each activity you do with us. This asks for name, date of birth and email address for each participant. It also asks for an emergency contact name and contact number, plus a description of any existing conditions (such as medical issues) that we need to be aware of. This information will be used by us and kept in a locked store. This information will only be shared between our staff and not with a third party (unless required for legal reasons).

If there is an accident or incident during the activity you will be asked to complete a form which describes what happened and any actions taken by the instructor involved. This will be used to improve our safety procedures and not shared with a third party (unless required for legal reasons).

What we do with the information we gather:

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a good service; in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping and management of your booking.
  • We use the information about your health and other conditions to attend to your safety whilst you are participating in an activity with us.
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers (e.g. kayaks and paddle boards) or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided if you have selected ‘Yes’ to receiving emails from us.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
